Last week, I won a ClickFree automatic backup from Mile High Mamas. The UPS guy survived the gauntlet of dogs to deliver the portable hard drive to my house Monday, and I set it aside thinking I would need a few hours to figure out how to get the thing up and running since I'm technologically impaired that way.
When I finally got around to opening the box, I discovered that reading the instructions was a waste of time because all they basically said was, "Plug the ClickFree into your computer's USB port and walk away."
Personally, I would have added the caveat, "don't walk away too far" to those instructions since it literally took me longer to get the ClickFree out of its packaging than to back up my entire computer.

The ClickFree I won has 160GB of storage capacity, so I could presumably use it to back up 10 computers if I had that many, which I don't. (However, if you wanted to send me a free computer to review -- like say the mother of all Apples with a HUMONGOUS screen -- then I'd be one computer closer to 10 and I could see if the ClickFree can back up, oh, say 6 computers... .)
All begging aside, the point here is that the ClickFree is perfect for saving all those family photos you're going to download during the holidays or anything else you don't want to lose when your hard drive up and dies (which we all know will inevitably happen).
Best of all, the ClickFree is the size of a deck of playing cards, so it's easy to store (or, if I get really adventurous, I could travel the world with it -- if someone were to send me a plane ticket next... .)

Great review! I might have to buy something like that.
Oooh, I need that. Since you got it for free, you lucky duck, do you have any idea how much they are?
OK... so now what happens the next time you click it into your computer? Does it search and just save just the files it sees as new? When you open the clickfree in order to look at the files... how does it have them organized? Am I just being too anxious about this?
It saves only the new or updated files, but doesn't erase your old ones, Colleen. Then it stores them by category (i.e. photos, documents, etc.)
The 250GB clickfree drive is for sale at www.QVC.com for $129...thats a pretty good deal.
How cool that you won that! It sounds like a great product!
